Ordering

Where can I find Lee & Low’s books?
  • Individual consumers can find our titles wherever books are sold, including our website, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Bookshop.
  • Schools and libraries can order directly from Lee & Low by contacting quotes@leeandlow.com, or completing this form. Books are also available via educational wholesalers, such as Baker & Taylor, Follett, and Mackin.
  • Retailers can also order directly from Lee & Low. Contact orders@leeandlow.com for information on discounts and terms. Books are also available through wholesale distributors, such as Ingram and Faire.
  • Ebooks: A wide range of Lee & Low titles can be borrowed on many ebook distribution platforms including Epic, Overdrive, Follett, Mackin, Skybrary, Open eBooks, and more. If you are struggling to find access to one of our books digitally, please contact us and we'll see what we can do.
  • Audiobooks: Lee & Low does not directly sell digital content through our website. We recommend accessing Lee & Low titles through established audiobook lending and purchasing platforms to protect the intellectual property of our authors and illustrators and to ensure quality. Can I change the shipping address?
We process and ship your orders as quickly as possible. Therefore, orders can't be edited once they've been placed.
How will I know when my order ships?
You will receive an email confirmation with the subject : Your Lee & Low Books Order Has Shipped. If it's not in your inbox, please check your spam folder.
Need a receipt or invoice? Missing a packing slip?

How do I create a tax-exempt order?

How do I report a missing, damaged, or defective item from my order?

Is this book out of stock? How do I get an inventory status check for a particular title?

What are the terms and discounts available for nonprofits, corporate sales, or special sales projects?

Need to order books for an upcoming event with an author or illustrator?
Lee & Low offers a generous discount for events with our creators. Email authorvisits@leeandlow.com for more information. Please include the date of the event in the email. We strongly recommend reaching out at least 4 weeks before the event to allow processing and shipping.

Can a Lee & Low editor read my story and provide feedback?
No, but please find a thoughtfully curated list of blog posts here that may help you improve your story through revision.
Do you have any job or internship openings in Editorial?
You can find any current openings on our Careers page.
Can illustrators submit their portfolios?
We are happy to consider art samples for picture books, graphic novels, and book jackets. You may send your sample to editorial@leeandlow.com. Please include a link to your website. If an editor has a project that they feel is a good fit for an artist, they will reach out to you. (Note that any manuscript submissions sent to this address will not be considered.)
What types of stories are you looking for?
Our mission is to promote and amplify diverse stories by diverse creators. We publish fiction and nonfiction from picture books to young adult novels. We do not publish animal stories. For more information on what kind of manuscripts each of our editors is currently interested in, you can check out our Editorial Team page.
Do you accept unsolicited submissions?
Our imprints are currently closed to unsolicited manuscript submissions until further notice. We still accept agented submissions and projects from writers' conferences that Lee & Low editors have attended. In addition, if you are an unpublished writer, we encourage you to enter your work in our New Voices and New Visions award contests.

We appreciate your interest in The Open Book Blog. We do not take submissions or pitch ideas for blog posts. We hope you enjoy reading about the latest releases and insights from our published creators.

How do I request an examination or desk copy?
We're thrilled to hear you're thinking about considering a Lee & Low book for course adoption at your US-based college or university. Reach out to marketing@leeandlow.com to request a complimentary desk or exam copy. Make sure to list course name, course start date, estimated enrollment, and preferred mailing address.
